The W123 Coupé was the elegant two-door variant of Mercedes’ most successful saloon. Built on a shortened wheelbase with pillarless windows, it offered the same engineering but with a sleeker profile. The 280CE came with the fuel-injected straight-six – the driver’s choice in the range.
